Making Time to Innovate w/ John Zeratsky
How can we make time for things that matter?
I’m often a skeptic of books about innovation, especially those that claim that it’s a process. But as I sat down with John Zeratsky for the latest episode of Innovators on tap, I was reminded that if you get beyond your biases and look past you preconceived notions, there is a lot to be learned.
John is a designer by training and spent much of his career in Silicon Valley; Working at Google, YouTube and eventually at Google ventures. During his time at Google Ventures he helped nearly 200 startups use design to solve their most critical business challenges through the development of the Design Sprint process. John is the co-author of the New York Times Best-Selling book Sprint and recently released his new book Make Time.
My conversation with John covers the characteristics he saw in successful teams, the influence his childhood had on his career, finding focus in your daily life, and we even debate if Google is still innovative.
